Western Carolina University Police Department is seeking comprehensive service and maintenance agreements for two major campus security systems: - Radio System (Motorola Mototrbo): - Service and maintenance for campus-wide Motorola Mototrbo radio system, including 690 portable/mobile radios, repeaters, callboxes, sirens, and dispatch center equipment - Only authorized Motorola Service Providers within 100 miles are eligible; must respond within two hours - Scope includes programming, configuration, installation, maintenance, bi-weekly site visits, 24/7 emergency support, annual preventive maintenance, and programming updates - University responsible for hardware replacement costs; provider coordinates warranty and out-of-warranty replacements - Notable equipment: Motorola SLR 5700 and XPR 8400 repeaters, MTR 2000 repeater, EMR Corp combiners and multicouplers, AVTEC consoles and Outpost units, Wheelen sirens, Connectivity callboxes, SSV Radio Tower, APC UPS units, antennas, and base station radios - CCTV System (3xLOGIC): - Service and maintenance for 3xLOGIC CCTV system with over 1,000 cameras and 55 DVR/NVRs across main campus and Biltmore Park site - Only authorized 3xLOGIC providers within 100 miles; must respond within two hours - Includes programming, installation, maintenance, updates, patches, 24 man-hours per month, and use of bucket truck as needed - 24/7/365 emergency support; coordination for warranty and out-of-warranty hardware replacements - Contract Terms: - Initial contract term of one year, with up to two optional one-year renewals for both systems - Vendor must begin work within 30 business days of contract start - Unique Requirements: - All installations must comply with North Carolina Building Codes and university-specific requirements - Service providers must be authorized by the OEM and located within 100 miles, with rapid response capability - Hardware, cabling, and parts not covered by warranty are the university's responsibility - OEMs Highlighted: - Motorola (radio system) - 3xLOGIC (CCTV system) - EMR Corp, AVTEC, Wheelen, Connectivity, SSV, APC (radio system components) - Government Buyer: - Western Carolina University, Associate Director of Purchasing (John Hamm), State of North Carolina

It includes routine maintenance, 24/7 emergency support, bi-weekly site visits for repairs and upgrades, and coordination of hardware replacements. Costs for hardware and parts not covered by warranty are the University's responsibility. All installations must comply with North Carolina Building Codes and University requirements.
