Description

The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, California State Office has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identifies a cultural affiliation between the remains and associated objects and certain Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after September 14, 2026. Written requests for repatriation must be sent to the Bureau of Land Management, California State Office.
