Description
The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Mesa Verde National Park intends to repatriate 23 cultural items classified as unassociated funerary objects. These items have cultural affiliations with Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The repatriation is conducted in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). Repatriation may occur on or after September 14, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent of Mesa Verde National Park.
