Description

The University of Tennessee, Department of Anthropology and the Frank H. McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture have completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. They have determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The inventory includes remains and objects from multiple sites in Knox County, TN, with a total of 14 individuals and 156 associated funerary objects. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after September 14, 2026.
