Description
Toyota Motor North America, Inc. determined that certain model year 2020-2021 Toyota C-HR motor vehicles do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 110 regarding tire selection and rims. Toyota filed a noncompliance report and petitioned NHTSA for a decision that the noncompliance is inconsequential to motor vehicle safety. NHTSA has granted Toyota's petition, exempting them from notification and remedy requirements. The noncompliance involves incorrect tire size information on the vehicle placard, but the vehicles are equipped with the correct tires and meet all other safety requirements.
