The City of Omaha Public Works Department is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of the existing roof membrane at the Traffic Maintenance Office Area, 4303 S. 50th Street. - Government Buyer: - City of Omaha Public Works Department, Facilities Management Division - Contact: Steve Gustafson - Scope of Work: - Complete removal of the existing roof membrane - Installation of a new 60 mil white TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing membrane system - Replacement of damaged insulation with polyisocyanurate insulation (minimum 3.0 inches, ASTM C 1289 Type I) - Installation of protection board (DensDeck or approved equal) - New metal edge flashing and wood materials (cedar or CCA .40 treated southern yellow pine, exterior grade plywood) - Electrical work: disconnect/reconnect, conduit replacement as needed - Mechanical work: flue pipe replacement, new flue caps, protective pads under equipment, system shutdown coordination - Key Requirements: - 20-year labor and material warranty from the roofing manufacturer for the TPO system - 2-year warranty on other items - Compliance with all federal, state, and local codes - Work must not interfere with the facility's 24/7 operation - Contractor must hold a "Class A or B" City of Omaha General Contractor's License at bid submission - Bid, performance, and payment bonds required - No specific OEMs or product part numbers are mandated; TPO membrane and protection board must meet or exceed specified standards - Opportunity is open to all qualified vendors; no SEB reserve
