Summit County is soliciting sealed proposals for salt hauling services to deliver approximately 3,000 to 6,000 tons of Redmond Salts and/or Morton Salt over two winter seasons from October 15, 2026, to April 15, 2028. The successful bidder must have sufficient equipment to deliver a minimum of 250 tons from Redmond Minerals and must deliver the salt within 24 hours of notification. Pickup locations are Redmond Minerals in Redmond, Utah, and Morton Salt in Grantsville, Utah, with delivery to Summit County Public Works in Wanship, Utah. Bidders must submit bids on company letterhead, include cost per ton, and comply with insurance and contract requirements.
