USDA Forest Service Solicits Aluminized Type 2 Culverts and Bands for Ouachita National Forest

The USDA Forest Service, Ouachita National Forest, is seeking suppliers for culvert materials to support infrastructure needs in Arkansas. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Ouachita National Forest, USDA-FS CSA EAST 2 office - Products Requested: - Aluminized type 2 culverts in multiple sizes and quantities: - 40 units: 18-inch diameter, 30-foot length, 16-gauge - 20 units: 24-inch diameter, 30-foot length, 16-gauge - 10 units: 30-inch diameter, 30-foot length, 16-gauge - 10 units: 36-inch diameter, 36-foot length, 16-gauge - Aluminized type 2 culvert bands: - 10 units: 18-inch diameter - 4 units each: 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch diameters - Notable Requirements: - Polymeric coated corrugated steel pipe is accepted as an equal substitute if coating is 10 mils thick inside and out - Damaged coating areas must be repaired with zinc dust-zinc oxide powder (per TT-P-641 or MIL-P-21085) and a two-component epoxy paint (e.g., "Scotch Clad," 2M, PPG, or equivalent) - OEM traceability and Certificates of Conformance are required - Delivery is FOB destination to Ouachita National Forest within 90 days of award - No specific OEMs or brands are named in the solicitation

I.  STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

This  project consists of supplying culverts to the Ouachita National Forest for installation by forest service employees on an as needed basis. Contractor shall supply the following:

40 – 18” diameter, 30’ length, 16ga aluminized type 2 culverts

20 – 24” diameter, 30’ length, 16ga aluminized type 2 culverts

10 – 30” diameter, 30’ length, 16ga aluminized type 2 culverts

10 – 36” diameter, 36’ length, 16ga aluminized type 2 culverts

10 – 18” diameter, aluminized type 2 culvert bands

4 – 24” diameter, aluminized type 2 culvert bands

4 – 30” diameter, aluminized type 2 culvert bands

4 – 36” diameter, aluminized type 2 culvert bands

POLYMERIC COATED CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALUMINUM COATED, TYPE 2 CORRUGATED STEEL PIPE AND WILL BE CONSIDERED AS EQUAL FOR PAYMENT. WHERE POLYMERIC COATED PIPE IS USED, THICKNESS OF COATING SHALL BE 10 MILS INSIDE AND 10 MILS OUTSIDE.  ALL EXPOSED METAL OR AREAS OF PIPE WHERE POLYMERIC OR ALUMINUM COATING IS DAMAGED SHALL BE PAINTED WITH A ZINC DUST-ZINC OXIDE POWDER CONFORMING TO FEDERAL SPECIFICATION TT-P-641 OR MIL-P-21085 AND A TWO COMPONENT EPOXY PAIN, "SCOTCH CLAD", 2M, PPG OR EQUAL.
