The USDA Forest Service, San Juan National Forest, is seeking forestry and land management services for the Banana Peel DxP IRSC project near Dolores, Colorado. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, San Juan National Forest, Mancos-Dolores Ranger District - Procurement and Property Services, National Procurement Operations, Stewardship Contracting Branch - Scope of Work: - Timber removal and forest restoration across approximately 567 acres (mandatory) and up to 391.8 additional acres (optional) - Harvesting, cutting, skidding, decking, and piling of live and dead ponderosa pine sawtimber and non-sawtimber - Road decommissioning (over 10,000 feet across multiple networks) and boulder placement (up to 135 boulders) to restrict vehicle access - Environmental protection, erosion control, slash disposal, and fire precautions are required - Emphasis on local workforce utilization and compliance with federal environmental regulations - Products/Services Requested: - Mandatory removal of 1,248 CCF live ponderosa pine sawtimber; optional removal of up to 3,425 CCF additional sawtimber - Cutting, skidding, and piling of non-sawtimber and dead sawtimber across specified units - Road decommissioning and boulder placement as detailed in the line items - Unique/Notable Requirements: - No new road construction; only maintenance and temporary roads allowed - Strict operational restrictions and protection of sensitive areas - Payment based on acceptable quality levels and compliance with technical specifications - Only pre-approved BPA holders under the RMRP Stewardship BPA are eligible to compete - No specific OEMs or commercial product part numbers are referenced; this is a service and timber removal contract.

Description

This procurement is restricted to the approved companies eligible for call orders under the R2 Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (RMRP) Stewardship BPA for the San Juan National Forest in the state of Colorado. This requirement may be awarded to one vendor as a BPA Call Order against BPA's previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice that are not eligible for awards under the R2 RMRP Stewardship BPA.
