The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Electronic Systems, Weather Program Office (ESAW) is seeking information from industry on capabilities to operate, sustain, and modernize the Air Force Weather (AFW) Cloud enterprise. - Government Buyer: - US Air Force, AFLCMC/ESAW (Weather Program Office) - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the request - Requested Services and Capabilities: - Operation, sustainment, and modernization of a multi-enclave (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret/SCI) weather data and high-performance computing (HPC) cloud environment - Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): provisioning, automation, secure connections, and 24/7 support - Platform as a Service (PaaS): platform management, identity and access management (IDAM), license management, secure APIs, and 24/7 support - Software as a Service (SaaS), DevSecOps, and other software: application development, AI integration, cybersecurity, and support for disconnected operations - Cybersecurity: RMF lifecycle management, Authority to Operate (ATO), Continuous ATO, Zero Trust, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity initiatives - Architecture and Design: Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)-compliant digital architecture, data flow design, and integration with DoD command and control (C2) and mission planning systems - Digital Materiel Management/Digital Engineering: hosting and managing integrated development environments (IDEs) for collaborative engineering and secure data sharing - Everything as a Service (XaaS) Integration: transition to and management of consumption-based XaaS models, including security and financial management - Unique Requirements: - White papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word for Office 365 format - Proprietary information must be clearly marked - All submissions become Government property and will not be returned

Description

AFLCMC/ESAW (Weather Program Office) is seeking information on how an interested contractor could help operate, sustain, and modernize the USAF Weather (AFW) Cloud agile and secure operational information ecosystem for a future contract. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Air Force is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
