Salisbury University is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive maintenance and emergency repair services for all campus water treatment systems. - Government Buyer: - Salisbury University, Procurement Department, Physical Plant - Procurement Officer Representative: Elaine Allnutt - Scope of Work: - Routine maintenance, chemical water treatment, and emergency repair for boilers, cooling towers, chilled water, geothermal, reverse osmosis, and glycol systems across multiple campus buildings - Bi-monthly site visits, water testing, chemical supply, and annual training for plant personnel - Emergency response required within 2 hours; routine service calls within 48 hours - Laboratory testing and analysis, including X-ray diffraction, atomic absorption, microbiological examination, and corrosion testing - Products/Services Requested: - Water treatment services for 18 campus buildings (e.g., Academic Commons, Blackwell Hall, Commons Building, etc.) - Emergency repair and on-call services - Annual training (minimum 10 hours) - Laboratory water and deposit analysis - Notable Requirements: - Emergency service calls must be responded to on-site within 2 hours - Overtime rates for emergency work capped at 1.5x regular hourly rates - Annual training must cover water treatment fundamentals, chemical handling, safety, and Legionella response - Reports for laboratory analysis must be provided within 48 hours - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Other Details: - Contract term is nearly five years, with a possible 12-month extension - Pricing is firm for the initial term with no price increases - Minority business participation is encouraged

Description

Salisbury University is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide maintenance services for current water treatment systems on campus. The scope includes emergency repair services and on-call work as needed for all water treatment systems owned by the university. The contract term is projected to begin on October 1, 2026, and run through June 30, 2031. A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held on August 17, 2026, at the Maintenance Building, Room 102, Salisbury University.
