Description
The Coast Guard will enforce multiple safety zones for recurring marine events occurring from August through September 2026 within the Eastern Great Lakes Zone. These safety zones are established to ensure the safety of life on navigable waterways during these events. Vessel operators within the regulated areas must comply with directions from the Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes or a designated representative during enforcement periods. The enforcement is pursuant to regulations in 33 CFR 165.939, and advance notifications will be provided to the maritime community.
