This notice informs the maritime community of the enforcement of safety zones for annual marine events in the Eastern Great Lakes Zone: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security - Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes - No Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or vendors are involved - No products or services are being procured - Key Requirements: - Enforcement of multiple safety zones for recurring marine events - Safety zones established under 33 CFR 165.939 - Vessel operators must comply with directions from the Captain of the Port or designated representatives - Advance notification of enforcement periods provided to the maritime community - Mandatory compliance with safety zone regulations to ensure safety of life on navigable waterways - No contract value, product line items, or service line items are associated with this notice

Description

The Coast Guard will enforce multiple safety zones for recurring marine events occurring from August through September 2026 within the Eastern Great Lakes Zone. These safety zones are established to ensure the safety of life on navigable waterways during these events. Vessel operators within the regulated areas must comply with directions from the Captain of the Port Eastern Great Lakes or a designated representative during enforcement periods. The enforcement is pursuant to regulations in 33 CFR 165.939, and advance notifications will be provided to the maritime community.
