Dent Bridge Road Improvements Construction Services Solicitation (Clearwater County, Idaho)

Clearwater County, Idaho is seeking contractors for the Dent Bridge Road Improvements project, managed by the Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Western Federal Lands Division. - Project scope covers 4.8 miles of Dent Bridge Road from Cedar Street in Orofino to Wells Bench Road intersection. - Key construction services required: - Full depth pavement reclamation (76,600 sq yd) - Asphalt concrete pavement (15,770 tons) - Shoulder reconditioning (15,840 linear feet) - Deep patch repair, guardrail improvements, signing, and striping - Earthwork, aggregate base courses, and incidental construction - Temporary traffic control including flaggers, pilot cars, and construction signs - Notable line items: - Removal and installation of guardrails (430 ft removed, 315 ft installed) - Pavement milling (73,100 sq yd), cementitious material (1,100 tons), geotextile and geogrid stabilization - Pavement markings: 110,000 ft (white), 56,200 ft (yellow), stop lines, and type H - Temporary traffic control: 1,600 hours of flagger services, 560 hours of pilot car - Estimated contract value: $5M-$10M (Firm-Fixed-Price) - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are listed; materials and equipment are generic and open to industry standards - Unique requirements: Solicitation is limited to Idaho, Montana, and Surrounding Areas MATOC contractors; electronic access to project documents - Completion anticipated by Fall 2027; solicitation expected Fall/Winter 2026

Description

PROJECT: ID FLAP CLEAR 4783(1), Dent Bridge Road Improvements

LOCATION: The project is located along Dent Bridge Road in Clearwater County, Idaho, beginning at the Cedar Street intersection in Orofino, northeast to the Wells Bench Road intersection.

WORK: This project consists full depth pavement reclamation, asphalt concrete pavement, shoulder reconditioning, deep patch repair, intermittent guardrail improvements, signing, and striping.  See “Project Description” posted under Attachments for additional details.

LENGTH: 4.8 miles

TENTATIVE COMPLETION DATE:  Fall 2027  

CONTRACT TYPE: Firm-Fixed-Price Task Order Contract

ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $5,000,000 and $ 10,000,000.
