The Town of Wells, Maine is seeking bids for the construction, delivery, and installation of new timber floats and pile chain kits at Wells Harbor. - Government Buyer: - Town of Wells, Office of the Town Manager - OEMs and Vendors: - Ace Roto-Mold (specified for floatation drums) - Products/Services Requested: - (11) 6.5' x 24' timber floats for channel main and inside finger sections - (2) 6.5' x 16' timber connector floats - (1) 15' x 9' x 24' timber gangway float - (11) pile chain kits with UHMW chaffing blocks - Ace Roto-Mold float drums with polyethylene shell and expanded polystyrene core, 15-year warranty - Single run of 3" diameter grey PVC conduit (no cables, water pipes, or power pedestals included) - Delivery, launching, and installation of all float sections and pile chain kits - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All float drums must be Ace Roto-Mold models with a 15-year warranty - Floats must be framed with pressure-treated southern yellow pine and decked with #1 or handrail grade 2x6 pt. syp. - All hardware must be hot-dipped galvanized; fendering must be D style, grey, and attached with stainless steel screws - Contractor is responsible for all materials, labor, delivery, launching, and installation - Utilities work is limited to conduit only; no electrical or water systems included - OSHA compliance and insurance required

Sealed bids are being solicited for the construction of new floats at Wells Harbor, Maine.
