The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) to administer and support Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs and related system transformation initiatives across New York State. - Government Buyer: - New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), Central Office - Eligible Vendors: - Only New York State Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) may apply - Products/Services Requested: - Administration of Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) programs - Selection of CIT sites statewide - Coordination and facilitation of CIT training for law enforcement, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders - Ongoing technical assistance to localities to improve crisis response systems - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must be a NYS Certified SDVOB - Focus on collaborative crisis response involving law enforcement, mental health/addiction professionals, individuals with lived experience, and families - Emphasis on reducing criminal justice involvement and creating a more informed, empathic crisis response system - Applicants must be prequalified and submit through the Statewide Financial System (SFS) - No specific OEMs or commercial product vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) Diversion Center announces funds availability for administering Crisis Intervention Team programs and adjacent systems transformation work in New York State. The CIT program is a partnership involving law enforcement, mental health and addiction professionals, individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders, their families, and other partners to improve community responses to mental health crises. The program aims to develop a more informed, empathic, and effective crisis response system that is least intrusive and helps people access medical/mental health treatment while avoiding criminal justice involvement. The RFP seeks a qualified contractor responsible for selecting CIT sites, coordinating and facilitating training, and delivering ongoing technical assistance to localities transforming their crisis response systems.
