Description of Requirement: CNC Hydraulic Press
The 141st SMCO shop requires procurement of a CNC hydraulic press to support fabrication, repair, and precision forming operations. Its CNC capabilities are essential to ensure repeatable bends, reduce setup time, and standardize production processes with minimal operator error. The press must have a bending length of 60 inches or more to accommodate a wide range of components, stiffeners, panels, etc. The 21.5-inch depth is necessary to form large panels not readily available in the supply system. The 33-ton hydraulic forming pressure is required to repair parts that cannot be effectively produced on smaller, light-duty brakes. Foot pedal operation is a requirement to help reduce the risk of operator injury.
