The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking qualified providers to deliver Project SEARCH vocational rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities across Texas. - Government Buyer: - Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) - Vocational Rehabilitation Division - Procurement Services Office - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; this is a service-based opportunity for qualified providers. - Products/Services Requested: - Project SEARCH Asset Discovery: Four observation sessions (20 hours total) to assess customer skills, interests, and support needs; fee $613 per customer. - Project SEARCH Skills Training: Training during internships to improve independence and skills; up to $1,684 per customer per 8-12 week rotation. - Project SEARCH Job Placement and Arrangement of Retention Services (Benchmarks A & B): Payment upon placement and retention milestones; $919 each. - Project SEARCH Job Placement and Arrangement of Extended Services (Benchmark C): Payment upon 90 days of employment and arrangement of extended services; $1,225. - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Providers must comply with TWC VR Standards for Providers Manual and have active TWC-VR Employment Services contracts. - Services are delivered statewide and must include Asset Discovery, three unpaid internship rotations, skills training, and job placement assistance for students aged 18-22 with disabilities. - Providers must meet staff qualification, background check, insurance, and accessibility requirements. - The contract term is five years, with open enrollment for applications until sufficient providers are selected.

Description

This Open Enrollment is for Project SEARCH, an international initiative supporting partnerships among businesses, local school districts, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and other entities serving individuals with disabilities. The program promotes long-term employment for vocational rehabilitation customers in stable, meaningful, integrated, and competitively compensated jobs. It prepares students with disabilities for the workforce through immersion in a business environment, including three unpaid internship rotations and assistance in securing permanent employment. The program is conducted for a full academic year and includes Asset Discovery for each participant.
