This opportunity is for a firm fixed price contract to provide Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) management services for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, covering multiple VA Health Care System locations in North Carolina. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Fayetteville VAMC - Scope of Work: - Collection, packaging, staging, transport, treatment, and disposal of regulated medical waste (RMW) - Services required at Fayetteville VAMC, Fayetteville HCC, Dialysis Clinic, and several Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in North Carolina - Includes weekly and bi-weekly pickups, provision of containers and trailers, spill response, staff training, and compliance documentation - Quantities and Locations: - Fayetteville VAMC: 56,000 lbs/year (weekly) - Fayetteville HCC: 54,000 lbs/year (weekly) - Dialysis Clinic: 20,000 lbs/year (weekly) - Hamlet CBOC: 3,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Robeson County CBOC: 3,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Goldsboro CBOC: 3,600 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Sanford CBOC: 3,600 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Jacksonville CBOC (4006 Henderson Dr): 15,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Brunswick County Outreach Clinic: 3,600 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Jacksonville CBOC (2580 Henderson Dr): 3,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Jacksonville CBOC (306 Brynn Marr Rd): 5,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Wilmington HCC: 3,000 lbs/year (bi-weekly) - Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all necessary containers, trailers, and supplies - Spill response and staff training are required - Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations for medical waste - Contract is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; the focus is on service delivery and compliance.
