Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has awarded a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF), 6720-A Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817, for Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology in the Military Health System.
The contract provides continued support for CDC’s Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) surveillance and epidemiology activities through access to and analysis of Military Health System (MHS) data. The contractor will support establishment and maintenance of an analytical database used to assess the epidemiology of CKD diagnosis, treatment, complications, and outcomes within the MHS. The effort includes epidemiologic analyses of CKD and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), assessment of risk factors, evaluation of disease patterns among active-duty and non-active-duty populations, characterization of pediatric CKD, and investigation of rare causes of CKD.
This contract was awarded on a sole-source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
HJF was determined to be the only responsible source with the requisite access, resources, and capabilities necessary to satisfy the Government’s requirements without substantial duplication of cost or unacceptable delays.
The contract was awarded on August 11, 2026, and consists of a one-year base period and three one-year option periods.
