The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station Sitka is seeking information from qualified contractors for JP-5 fuel removal and recovery services at the MH-60T mishap site on Harbor Mountain, Sitka, Alaska. - Government Buyer: - United States Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station Sitka - Products/Services Requested: - JP-5 fuel removal and recovery services for approximately 637 gallons of JP-5 aviation fuel remaining in three damaged aircraft fuel cells - Contractor must provide all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision - Develop and execute a safe, technically feasible, and environmentally responsible solution for accessing, stabilizing, removing, containing, transporting, and disposing of the fuel - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Challenging terrain and environmental conditions at the mishap site - Emphasis on safety, environmental protection, and minimal disturbance to aircraft wreckage and evidence - Use of non-sparking equipment and spill prevention/response measures - Coordination with Government recovery personnel - Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) required - Submission of capability statements and past performance for similar remediation services - No specific OEMs, vendors, or product part numbers are mentioned in the solicitation.

Title: JP-5 Fuel Removal and Recovery Services MH-60T CG6002 Mishap Site – Harbor Mountain, Sitka, Alaska

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station (AIRSTA) Sitka, has a request for the following Sources Sought with the intent of determining contractor interest and capabilities for fuel removal from MH-60T Mishap Site at Harbor Mountain, Sitka, AK. Refer to the attached Performance Work Statement for specifics. 

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT FOR REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.

The contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, material, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to perform the service requirements. The applicable NAICS Code is 562910<!--TgQPHd|||[]--> (Remediation Services) 

Any interested vendor of providing these services is requested to respond via e-mail to the Contracting Specialist: christopher.u.columbres@uscg.mil and the Contracting Officer: yvett.r.garcia@uscg.mil no later than 10:00am PST 21 August 2026 with the following documentations: name of Company and Address, Point of Contact and Phone number, business size (small, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled business, HUB Zone, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged business, woman owned or large business).

In addition, past performance information and a capability statement shall be submitted. Past performance information shall include recent and relevant contracts for the same or similar items and other references (including contract numbers, point of contact with telephone numbers and other relevant information). Offeror shall furnish this information for at least three (3) contracts, ongoing or completed within the last three years, for Competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research.
