The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking a contractor to provide invasive plant management services at the United States Horticultural Research Laboratory (USHRL) in Fort Pierce, Florida. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division (APD) - United States Horticultural Research Laboratory (USHRL) - Scope of Work: - Survey, treat, and remove invasive plant species on 128 acres of natural and stormwater containment areas - Work must follow South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) guidelines for invasive plant control - Contractor must be a commercially licensed herbicide applicator and meet all state chemical and HAZMAT licensing requirements - Contractor must be located within 100 miles of the site - Work hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm; all waste and empty containers must be removed from the site - Products/Materials: - Government will provide 20 gallons of Remedy herbicide - Contractor must supply all other herbicides, tools, sprayers, and personal protective equipment (PPE) - Unique Requirements: - Firm-fixed price contract - Contractor must demonstrate technical capability and relevant licensing - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Quantities: - 128 acres to be managed - 20 gallons of Remedy herbicide (government furnished) - No specific part numbers or commercial product brands (other than Remedy herbicide) are listed

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1242 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Invasive Plant Management Services in support of the United States Department of Agriculture - United States Horticultural Research Laboratory (USDA-USHARL) in Fort Pierce, Florida in accordance with Attachment 1 – Statement of Work.

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 561730  The small business size standard is $9.5 million  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
