Description

This action amends the Class E airspace at Bedford, IN due to the decommissioning of the Hoosier very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR) as part of the VOR Minimum Operational Network (MON) Program. The name of IU Health Bedford Hospital Heliport is updated to coincide with the FAA's aeronautical database. The amendment increases the radius of the Virgil I. Grissom Municipal Airport Class E airspace from 6.5 to 7 miles and removes the city associated with the airports from the airspace legal description. This action brings the airspace into compliance with FAA orders and supports instrument flight rule (IFR) procedures and operations.
