The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone in Monroe Harbor, Lake Michigan, Chicago, IL, to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment during the Chicago Triathlon swim event. The safety zone restricts entry of vessels or persons unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Lake Michigan or their designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on August 23, 2026. This action is necessary to prevent potential hazards associated with the event.
