Description

The Department of Transportation (DOT) proposes a new system of records titled "DOT/FMCSA 016, Customer Relationship Records (CRR)" in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974. This system allows DOT to collect and maintain written and verbal correspondence from Agency customers who contact the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) via toll-free number, email, or chat. The system enables the Agency to receive, respond to, and refer customer inquiries regarding Agency services. It serves as a centralized platform to manage, track, and coordinate interactions with external constituents and governmental partners to enhance motor carrier safety oversight and administration.
