This opportunity is for road reconstruction and maintenance services in the Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico, following the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire. - Solicitation is restricted to Region 3 Forest Engineering & Roads Maintenance Blanket Purchase Agreement (FERM BPA) holders. - Scope includes approximately 15 miles of National Forest System Roads. - Key work items: - Mobilization - Clearing and grubbing (scattering method) - Cleaning/removal of 22 sediment traps (FSSS 204 Compaction Method (d)) - Construction of 76 turnouts (FSSS 204 Compaction Method (d)) - Placement of 5,800 tons of untreated aggregate (1" minus, 14' min. R3-G FS Surface Course, FSSS 301 Compaction C, includes watering) - Placement of 8,884 tons of untreated aggregate (2" compacted, 14' min, FSSS 204 Compaction Method (d), with initial road reconditioning, includes watering) - 15.2 miles of road reconditioning (FSSS 204 Compaction Method (d), includes watering) - Stockpiling 400 tons of R3-G Surface Course aggregate within project boundary - Removal and installation of 2 cattleguards (14' government furnished, with wings, wing posts, side gates, and contractor-furnished Type II object markers) - All technical requirements, specifications, and wage determinations are detailed in the attached Statement of Work and supporting documents. - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; eligible contractors must be current Region 3 FERM BPA holders. - Compliance with fire plan guidelines and sustainable product use is required.
Description
This opportunity is ONLY available to the Region 3 Forest Engineering & Roads Maintenance Blanket Purchase Agreement (FERM BPA) contractors in New Mexico for the Santa Fe National Forest.
The purpose of this project is to reconstruct and/or maintain approximately 15 miles of National Forest System Roads (NFSR). Work is necessary to stabilize the roads and drainages within and near the burn scar perimeter of the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire.
