Description

The City of Lawrence, Kansas is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide contingency wastewater biosolids removal, transportation, and land application services for the Wakarusa River Wastewater Treatment Plant. Services are required only when a Contingency Situation exists, such as unsuitable on-site agricultural fields or biosolids storage capacity issues. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, and other resources necessary to remove, transport, and land apply wastewater biosolids in accordance with project specifications. Individual contingency events are expected to involve approximately 600,000 to 1,250,000 gallons of biosolids. Payment is based on actual gallons land applied at the contracted unit price per gallon following each authorized service event.
