This opportunity from the U.S. Embassy Bogota (Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Facility Management Office) seeks a contractor for modernization and partial replacement of the compound cafeteria canopy. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Facility Management Office at U.S. Embassy Bogota - OEMs and Key Materials: - Serge Ferrari (architectural tensile membrane) - ASTM A500 Grade B structural steel - Pintuco (industrial enamel coatings) - 10mm alveolar polycarbonate sheets with UV protection - Products/Services Requested: - Installation of 150 m2 Serge Ferrari canopy membrane - Expansion with 270 m2 of 10mm alveolar polycarbonate sheets - Engineering design, material procurement, fabrication, demolition, structural installation, canopy expansion, architectural restoration, refurbishment, and final testing (8-phase project) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict safety, quality, and security protocols - Mandatory site visits, engineering submittals, and phased inspections - Use of Autodesk Inventor for structural modeling - All work to be completed within 90 calendar days from Notice to Proceed - Restoration of stone flooring and columns, maintenance of gutters and glazing assemblies - Final waterproofing tests and project documentation required

Enclosed is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for Compound cafeteria canopy modernization. If you would like to submit a quotation, follow the instructions in Section J of the solicitation, complete the required portions of the attached document, and submit it to the address shown on the Standard Form that follows this letter.

Question will be received before August 24 2026 at 4:00 Pm to BogotaGSOCompras@state.gov.  Quotations are due by August 31, 2026 at 16:00 hours.   No quotations will be accepted after this time. Quotations must be in English and incomplete quotations will not be accepted.
