The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking proposals for the Brighter Futures Initiative (BFI) Program in Regions 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The program aims to prevent and reduce youth violence and delinquent behavior, prevent and reduce youth alcohol and drug use and abuse, and increase adolescent self-sufficiency through high school graduation, vocational skills, social skills, and responsible decision-making. Current BFI contracts extend through 2027 in Regions 1, 2, 3, and 7, and counties or tribal agencies with renewal options through December 31, 2028, are not required to respond.
