This opportunity is for the turnkey renovation of Building B at the Sierra Blanca Department of Public Safety (DPS) facility in Texas. - Government Buyer: - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) - Key contacts: Norma Cervantes, CTCD, CTCM; Michael Studebaker - Scope of Work: - Comprehensive demolition, construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finish-out services - Contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals - Project management, phasing, site access, and continuity plans required - Compliance with state and local codes, and state Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) requirements - Minimum three years' experience required for skilled labor - Products and Materials: - Sargent brand hollow metal doors (2 units, with 8x12 glass window, hardware, and deadbolt lock) - Insulated rolling doors (manual and motorized) - Kitchen cabinetry (base and upper, 14 units) - Ceiling tiles (2'x4', 122 pieces) - Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring (approx. 207 SF, Mohawk Group or equal) - Prefabricated fiberglass/acrylic shower unit, cultured marble lavatory sink, stainless steel kitchen sink, electric water heater - Flush wood doors (Wilson Art Huntington Maple veneer), resilient base (Roppe Brown #110), resilient athletic surfacing (Signature RubberDeck) - Interior and exterior painting (MPI premium grade) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sargent is the only specified OEM for door hardware; all other products must meet or exceed listed specifications (e.g., Mohawk Group for LVT, Signature for athletic surfacing) - All work must be completed in accordance with detailed construction documents, plans, and technical specifications - Warranties and quality assurance are specified for all materials and workmanship - Services: - Turnkey demolition and construction, including all finish-out, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing - One job unit covers all labor, materials, and equipment - Submission: - Electronic proposal submission required - Pre-proposal site visit scheduled

Description

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking qualified contractors to provide turnkey demolition, construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and finish-out services for the renovation of Building B at the Sierra Blanca DPS facility in Sierra Blanca, Texas. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the project according to specifications, drawings, and requirements contained in this RFP. All work must be executed in strict accordance with the approved construction documents, plans, and technical specifications. A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled, and proposals must be submitted electronically by the specified deadline.
