The Bahia Grande Habitat Restoration Project is located within the Bahia Grande Unit of the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in Cameron County, Texas. The base work includes mobilization/demobilization, construction of an off-loading pad, restoration of an existing boat ramp for marine access, placement of turbidity curtains, and installation of pre-constructed Ultra Reef Balls for shoreline protection at Rookery Islands A and B. Additive alternates include installation of Reef Balls at Rookery Island C and construction of an alternate access road. No dredging activities are permitted, and seagrass must not be damaged or impacted.
