This notice announces the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District's intent to make a sole source procurement for a new crawler crane optimized for floating marine service. - Agency: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mississippi Valley Vicksburg District - Sole source vendor: Liebherr-America, Inc. (Cage Code 3T9G5) - Requirement: One new commercial-grade crawler crane to replace the 9502 Crane Barge - Main boom: 140-145 ft - Main hoist lift capacity: 94,000 lb at 60 ft radius - Auxiliary hoist: 27,500 lb - Must meet ASME B30.5, B30.8, B30.23 and OSHA standards - Capable of heavy lifting, dredging, pile driving, and personnel handling - Optional attachments (if exercised): - 6 cubic yard rip-rap scoop, heavy-duty clamshell bucket, dirt drag bucket, rip-rap grapple, smooth mouth clamshell buckets, and stands - Additional requirements: - Personnel basket for up to 3 people (ANSI/OSHA compliant) - Special tool and diagnostic kit for maintenance - Training (24 hours), assembly/testing supervision, and local service support - Procurement under FAR Part 12 for commercial products and services - Interested parties may submit capability statements, but this is not an RFQ - Period of performance: 365 days for construction/testing, plus 30 days for delivery/assembly

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District (USACE-MVK), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Liebherr-America, Inc. (Cage Code 3T9G5) for the procurement of one (1) new commercial-grade crawler crane optimized for floating marine service.

This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), and no solicitation is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm or individual that believes it can meet the Vicksburg District’s requirements described herein may submit a capabilities statement, which, if received by 10:00 AM CST on 20 August 2026, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. A determination not to compete this purchase based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
