The U.S. Navy's CVN 72, based at Naval Air Station North Island, is seeking information from vendors regarding the procurement of X-ray baggage scanning systems for security screening. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, CVN 72 (Coronado, CA) - Products/Services Requested: - X-ray baggage scanning systems - Must support non-intrusive inspection of personnel effects, hand-carried items, and authorized materials - Systems must be fully operational upon delivery - Equipment must be suitable for pier-side, high-tempo operations and continuous screening - Delivery and installation at Naval Air Station North Island - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the notice or attachments - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Equipment must be ready for use prior to the ship's arrival - Contractor responsible for all equipment and delivery - Systems must be robust for continuous, high-throughput security screening in a maritime environment

This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB).

This notice does not commit the Government or procuring agency to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice; all costs associated with responding will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFP/RFQ, if issued. The information provided herein is subject to change and is not binding on the Government.
