Description

Beaufort County is seeking Statements of Qualifications from experienced professional engineering firms to provide planning, surveying, design, permitting, bidding, and related services for Phase I of an industrial access road at the Beaufort County Industrial Park in Chocowinity, North Carolina. The proposed roadway will begin at the existing industrial park entrance on U.S. Highway 17 South and extend westward toward Frederick Road and the Norfolk Southern/North Carolina Railroad corridor. Construction will proceed as far as available funding allows while preserving the ability to extend the road and related infrastructure during future phases. The project budget is not to exceed $700,000, including engineering, surveying, permitting, construction, testing, administration, and contingency. The roadway is to be designed in substantial conformance with applicable NCDOT standards to preserve the option of future acceptance into the State-maintained roadway system.
