Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters of Lake St. Clair within a 475-foot radius of Grosse Pointe Yacht Club in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. This safety zone is to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards during a fireworks event. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Detroit or their designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on August 14, 2026, with a contingency enforcement on August 15, 2026, in case of inclement weather.
