Description
Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST) intends to award a sole-source contract to Guardian RF Corporation for a passive radio frequency detection system and associated software and support.
MCIEAST requires a system capable of continuously detecting and tracking unmanned aircraft systems within installation-controlled airspace while simultaneously identifying and reporting the location of the UAS operator or ground control station.
Based on the Government’s market research and capability demonstrations, Guardian RF is the only known commercial system that has successfully demonstrated both required capabilities. Locating the operator is essential because it enables Marine Corps security personnel to rapidly respond to and apprehend individuals unlawfully operating UAS aboard military installations.
