The City of Foster City, through its Parks and Recreation Department, is seeking proposals for comprehensive janitorial services at the Foster City Community Center (38,748 sq ft). - Government Buyer: - City of Foster City, Parks and Recreation Department, Building Maintenance Division - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or product vendors are named, as this is a service-based procurement. - Requested Services: - Routine janitorial cleaning for all areas of the Community Center, including restrooms, offices, lobbies, fitness rooms, event spaces, and commercial kitchen - Day porter/building services during facility hours and events (restroom monitoring, supply replenishment, trash removal, spill cleanup, and public area maintenance) - Additional janitorial labor, including emergency response, after-hours call-out, and supervisory services - Event support services: pre-event, during-event, and post-event cleaning, room turnover, reset, and large event staffing - Specialty cleaning: carpet extraction, spot cleaning, hard floor scrub and recoat, deep floor restoration, high dusting, pressure washing, and window cleaning (interior and exterior) - Holiday and weekend janitorial services, including premium and emergency response rates - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, cleaning supplies (except consumables provided by the City), chemicals, tools, transportation, and PPE - Pricing must cover all costs, including supervision, overhead, and insurance - Proposers must attend a mandatory pre-bid walk-through, submit company/team qualifications, references, and complete all bid forms - Adherence to City insurance and contract requirements is mandatory - Services are billed by monthly, hourly, per occurrence, or per square foot rates depending on the service type - No products or part numbers are specified, as this is a service contract.
