DARPA Headquarters Modernization: Architectural and Exhibit Design Services Sought

This opportunity invites industry participation for the DARPA Headquarters Modernization Project, focused on refreshing key common spaces to create museum-quality exhibits highlighting DARPA's history and culture. - Project Scope: - Architectural and engineering services to redesign the Main Building Lobby, Conference Center Reception Area, and Director's Office Feature Wall - Emphasis on museum-quality displays, thematic elements, display cases, lighting, and multimedia (silent/muted) - Six project phases: discovery, concept development, design, documentation, coordination/approvals, and installation - Contractor to provide three design options per area and manage installation with DARPA coordination - No structural changes required, but allowed with approval - Procurement Details: - Single-award, fixed price or time and materials contract - 16-month base period starting Q4 FY26; substantial completion by December 15, 2027 - Industry Day scheduled for August 18, 2026 - Requirements: - Experience in architectural design, museum/exhibit-quality installations, and integration of physical and digital media - Coordination with DARPA stakeholders throughout all phases - No specific OEMs or products are named; focus is on professional services - Interested vendors should review the Statement of Objectives and related attachments for detailed requirements

Description

The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine industry capability and assess competition for Architecture/Engineering support services for the DARPA Modernization Project. 

This Sources Sought Notices also serves as Notification of the DARPA Modernization Project Industry Day.

All interested vendor shall review the notice and all attachments, in its entirety, and submit interest in participating in the Industry Day and responses to this notice in accordance with the requirements specified in the Sources Sought Notice. 

The tentative date for the DARPA Modernization Project Industry Day is August 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM ET to 3:00 PM ET. 

Receipt of Confirmation of intent to participate in the industry day is due by 12:00 PM ET on August 13, 2026. 

Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are due by 10:00 AM ET on August 24, 2026.
