The California Department of Rehabilitation is procuring new vending machines and related services for Calipatria State Prison. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) - Calipatria State Prison (installation site) - OEMs and Vendors: - USI (Alpine Combi 3000) - Crane (models 471 and 472) - CPI (coin and bill mechanisms) - Cantaloupe (G11 Eport credit card readers) - Equivalent products from other manufacturers are acceptable if all specifications are met - Products/Services Requested: - 5 Frozen Food Vending Machines (USI Alpine Combi 3000 or equivalent) - 2 Combo Snack/Drink Vending Machines Slim (Crane 471 or equivalent) - 3 Combo Snack/Drink Vending Machines Wide (Crane 472 or equivalent) - All machines must include CPI coin and bill mechanisms and Cantaloupe G11 Eport credit card readers - Delivery, installation, programming, testing, and on-site training for all machines - Removal and trade-in or recycling of 9 existing vending machines (documentation required) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All machines must be newly manufactured (no refurbished or used units) - Compliance with ADA, UL, EPA/DOE Energy Star, and specific dimensional and power requirements - Machines must be set side by side and banded together as specified - Adherence to correctional institution security protocols - Certification of post-consumer recycled content per California SABRC regulations - Award to lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all requirements - Warranty coverage for 90 days on labor and parts - Coordination with BEP Vendor and BEC staff for delivery and installation - Delivery and installation must be completed within 35 calendar days after order receipt
