The City of Columbus is seeking a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for comprehensive weed and vegetation management services across city-owned properties. - Government Buyer: - City of Columbus, Financial Management Department - Primary user: Public Utilities Department; other city agencies may participate - Scope of Services: - Annual spraying of over 522,000 lineal feet and 665,000 square feet of grounds and public ways - Treatment of approximately 150 miles of roadways with weed control sterilant - Services divided into five distinct geographic zones; bidders must submit pricing for all zones - Uniform spray application of approved herbicides (Spyder Tahoe 3A, Diuron, Rodeo, Arsenal) - Includes one annual application and possible additional spot treatments at no extra cost - OEMs (Herbicide Manufacturers): - Spyder Tahoe 3A - Diuron - Rodeo - Arsenal - Notable Requirements: - Minimum ten years' experience in industrial/agricultural herbicide application - Documented work history for the past five years and references from at least four similar contracts - Licensed applicators and experienced supervision required - Compliance with City, State, Federal, and OSHA safety standards, and the Ohio Manual of Traffic Control Devices - Pricing must be firm/fixed, FOB Destination, and include manufacturer warranties - Contract may be extended for up to two additional one-year periods by mutual agreement

This solicitation is for a Universal Term Contract (UTC) to provide weed and vegetation management services for the City of Columbus. The contract involves spraying over 522,000 lineal feet and 665,000 square feet of grounds and public ways annually, including about 150 miles of roadways. The main agency utilizing this contract will be the Public Utilities Department, but other city agencies will also use it.
