Description

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is providing notice of the re-establishment of a matching program between OPM and the Social Security Administration (SSA) under Computer Matching Agreement No. 1071. This program enables SSA to disclose Title II Social Security benefit information to OPM for determining eligibility and computing Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) benefits payable to disability and survivor annuitants as required by law. The matching program will begin on October 27, 2026, continue for 18 months, and may be extended for an additional 12 months. Comments on the program are requested by September 8, 2026.
