Description

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering approval of an import license application submitted by EnergySolutions, LLC to import Class A low-level radioactive waste from Ontario, Canada to Clive, Utah for disposal at EnergySolutions' facility. The application requests a 10-year license to transport and dispose of up to 130,800 cubic yards of waste generated by the civilian nuclear power industry in Ontario.
