The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announces five awards to fund the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research in Bangladesh; National Institute of Public Health in Cambodia; Institut Pasteur de Madagascar; National Health Laboratory Service in South Africa; and L. Sakvarelidze National Center for Disease Control and Public Health in Georgia. The awards aim to enhance health security by strengthening global influenza and other priority pathogen surveillance networks to detect and respond to infectious disease threats.
