Description
This notice announces a new matching program between the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) under the Privacy Act. OPM will provide SSA with civil service benefit and payment data to verify individuals' eligibility for the Extra Help with Medicare Prescription Drug Plan Costs program. The program will also help SSA identify individuals who may qualify for Extra Help as part of Medicare outreach efforts. The matching program is set to be effective from September 16, 2026, for a period of 18 months, with comments due by September 8, 2026.
