City of New Haven Community Wi-Fi Expansion – Equipment and Installation Services

The City of New Haven's Information Technology Department is seeking a contractor to expand community Wi-Fi coverage on the New Haven Green. - Government Buyer: - City of New Haven, Information Technology Department - Products and Equipment Requested: - Approximately 15 outdoor-rated Wi-Fi 6/6E access points - Enterprise-grade switches, routers, PoE/PoE+ equipment, and injectors - Dedicated fiber-optic backhaul to a Community Anchor Institution via the Connecticut Education Network - NEMA-rated outdoor enclosures for network equipment - Electrical and solar power solutions, including backup UPS where needed - Mounting hardware, cabling, grounding, bonding, surge and lightning protection - Services Required: - Complete installation, configuration, and commissioning of the Wi-Fi system - Engineering, project management, and supervision - RF coverage testing, fiber certification, speed and throughput testing, and system commissioning - Training for city staff, operating documentation, equipment inventory, test reports, and as-built drawings - Warranty for installed equipment and restoration of affected areas - Unique and Notable Requirements: - WPA3 security and VLAN segmentation - Support for eduroam and RADIUS authentication - Centralized network management, usage reporting, and performance monitoring - Minimum 1 Gbps symmetrical bandwidth per sector - At least 90% coverage at -67 dBm or better - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation, allowing for a range of potential manufacturers and solutions.
