Description

The Workforce and Government Affairs Division (WGA) is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide workforce development consulting services. The selected consultant will provide strategic planning, program design, and implementation support to advance multi-year workforce development initiatives focused on the adoption of zero emission human operated cargo handling equipment and Class 8 electric vehicle (EV) trucks. This work supports the Port of Los Angeles under the EPA’s Clean Ports Program and broader zero-emission port operations efforts. The consultant will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure workforce readiness and regulatory compliance. The contract duration is expected to be three years, starting after approval by the Board of Harbor Commissioners, with a total contract value of $900,000.
