The U.S. Air Force, 35th Fighter Wing and 35th Contracting Squadron at Misawa Air Base, Japan, is seeking a contractor to design, install, and provide ongoing management of a comprehensive Managed Wi-Fi system for dormitory facilities. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 35th Fighter Wing, 35th Contracting Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan - Scope of Work: - Design, furnish, install, configure, and test a Managed Wi-Fi system covering: - 1,031 dormitory rooms - 26 common areas - 26 laundry rooms - 5 outdoor grill/patio areas - Dorm Management Office - 11 buildings in total - Provide all infrastructure, including fiber, conduit, cables, hardware, software, mounting hardware, and weather-resistant enclosures - Deliver training for government personnel - Ongoing 24/7/365 proactive network management, monitoring, software/firmware maintenance, configuration management, help desk support, warranty management, and equipment lifecycle replacement - Service Requirements: - Minimum 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds per user - Content filtering and multi-tiered service model (government-funded base service, optional user-paid premium tiers) - Meet or exceed 99.8% network uptime, strict latency and coverage requirements, and timely incident response - Mandatory site visit for all offerors - Contractor must demonstrate technical expertise and relevant past performance - Contract Structure: - Base year plus four 12-month option years for ongoing Wi-Fi service - Firm fixed price arrangement - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to qualified providers with relevant experience

Description

The 35th Civil Engineering Squadron located in Misawa AB, Japan, is seeking qualified vendors for the installation and service provision of Campus internet/Wi-Fi in multiple dormitory buildings and designated outdoor patio areas as stated on the attached PWS. This requirement will support the installation 24 hours a day/seven days a week/365 days a year (24/7/365).

A mandatory site visit will be conducted on the week of 24 - 28 Aug 2026. Specific day will be coordinated and posted via an amendment at a later date. Interested parties are required to RSVP to the attached POC by no later than 0900 21 Aug 2026 JST (2000 20 Aug 2026 EST) to be added to the attendee list. Response must include:

Offerors intending to submit a response to this RFQ must attend the site visit. The purpose of the site visit is to familiarize offerors with the existing site conditions and the requirements of the PWS. Failure to attend this mandatory site visit will render the Offeror's quotation ineligible for award.
