Description

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is providing notice of the re-establishment of a matching program between OPM and the Social Security Administration (SSA) under Computer Matching Agreement No. 1071. The program enables SSA to disclose Title II Social Security benefit information to OPM for use in determining eligibility for, and computing, Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) benefits payable to disability annuitants and survivor annuitants as required by law. The matching program will begin on October 27, 2026, and continue for 18 months, with a possible extension of 12 months. Comments on the program are due by September 8, 2026.
