Description

This solicitation is for the construction of approximately 1,050 linear feet of sidewalk along Furbish Road in Wells, Maine. The work includes removal of existing pavement, installation and grading of base gravels, new sidewalk pavement, installation of detectable warning plates, roadway and pavement striping, new pedestrian delineators, and other incidental work. There is a bid alternative for reconstruction of a viewing platform located on federal lands accessed by the proposed sidewalk, which includes demolition of the existing platform, grading, installing reclaim and split rail fence, and construction of the new platform. The project is federally funded and subject to applicable federal laws and MaineDOT specifications.
