The Town of Vail Department of Public Works is seeking contractors to provide snow removal services for the 2026-2027 winter season. - Government Buyer: - Town of Vail Department of Public Works - Scope of Work: - Snow and ice removal at Vail Golf/Nordic Center parking lot - Area must be cleared by 8:00 am after snow events of 2 inches or more - Use of front-end loader required unless otherwise notified - Ongoing monitoring for hazardous conditions - Snow and ice removal at Donovan Pavilion parking lot - Area must be cleared by 6:30 am after snow events of 2 inches or more - Ongoing monitoring for hazardous conditions - Hand shoveling of various designated areas throughout the Town of Vail - Complete edge-to-edge clearing of steps, sidewalks, and pedestrian areas - Areas must be cleared by 8:00 am after snow events of 1 inch or more - Assumes 12 shovels per month, with additional call-back services as needed - Contractor must maintain detailed records and submit weekly reports - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must provide all necessary labor and equipment - Safety and thoroughness are emphasized - Pricing must be held for the contract term - Insurance and compliance with applicable laws are mandatory - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; proposals will establish a qualified vendors list - Contract Duration: - October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 (entire winter season)

Description

The Town of Vail Public Works Department is seeking proposals from contractors for snow removal services during the 2026-2027 winter season. The work includes snow removal at the Vail Golf/Nordic Center parking lot, Donovan Pavilion parking lot, and hand shoveling various areas around the Town of Vail. Proposals will be reviewed to establish a qualified vendors list. The contract term is from October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. The Town reserves the right to award all or portions of this RFP to contractors and to reject any and all proposals without disclosing reasons.
