The City of Needles Public Works Department is seeking bids for the Phase V-B Water Service Replacement Project to upgrade water infrastructure on several city streets. - Government Buyer: - City of Needles Public Works Department - Project Scope: - Remove and replace approximately 156 water service laterals (1" CTS Poly Pipe, 250 PSI or better) from mainline to water meter - Work includes excavation, installation, reconnection to existing water mains, testing, backfilling, compaction, and full restoration of disturbed areas - Installation of 15 traffic grade concrete sidewalk meter boxes and 15 landscaping water meter boxes - Mobilization/demobilization, traffic control, storm water pollution prevention (SWPPP, BMPs, NPDES), and acquisition of necessary encroachment permits - Products/Materials: - 1" CTS Poly Pipe (250 PSI or better) with Flare-to Compression Couplings - Traffic grade and landscape meter boxes - Notable Requirements: - State prevailing wage job; compliance with California Public Works Contractor Registration Laws (SB 854 & SB 96) - Valid California Class A (General Contractor) License and City business license required at award - Mandatory pre-bid meeting, electronic bid submission, and provision of bid bond, non-collusion declaration, subcontractor list, and references - Contract duration is 120 calendar days with $500/day liquidated damages for late completion - No specific OEMs or proprietary brands are specified; project is open to all qualified contractors and suppliers
